Useful Tips to Crack NEET 2020

With just a few months remaining for the most prestigious medical entrance exam- NEET 2020, students from all over the country have started their preparation in full swing. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted for candidates who want to pursue undergraduate medical education like MBBS, Bachelor of Surgery or Bachelor of Medicine in a university approved by Medical Council of India or MCI.

NEET 2020 dates:

The medical entrance exam will be held on May 3rd, 2020. This gives students enough time to prepare and also take diagnostic tests online. These tests will help candidates get an understanding of the exam pattern and draw their own analysis.

To help you further, we have listed a few useful subject-wise tips that will assist you in cracking the test in your first attempt.

• Physics –

To get a good score in this subject, students should focus on practising numerical. They must also revise formulas and derivations, and make it a point to solve previous year’s question papers.

• Chemistry –

Again, make sure to practise previous year’s question papers to ace this section. To get a great score in Physical Chemistry, make sure to practise numerically and for Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, ensure you revise as much as possible.

• Biology –

For Biology, candidates need to focus on NCERT. You need to solve as many NCERT based questions as you can to get an extra edge.

NCERT books have proven to be the best for preparation of NEET. Remember, studying from too many different books will only create confusion. Therefore, stick to NCERT. It will strengthen your basics and will sufficiently cover the NEET syllabus.

Also, it is important to note that your year-long preparation is not going to be helpful if you do not practise and revise on a daily basis. Now that NEET is only in 3 months, make sure to practise 10-15 year’s question paper, if you have trouble solving them, go through the theory once again. Do not keep everything for the last few days, instead of practising and revise now, so you can relax later.

Eat healthy food:

This is one of the most ignored factors, but the most important one, when it comes to preparing for exams. A lot of students indulge in junk food and sugary items to save time or simply for the sake of good taste. If you are one of them, stop this immediately. Incorporate healthy food in your diet. This will keep your brain in good shape, boost your immunity and prevent you from falling ill.

Sleep well:

Many students think that by cutting down on sleep, they will save time for more studying. Remember, active learning requires an active mind. So make sure to sleep well. Give your mind and body the rest it deserves. Proper sleep will allow you to remain active through the day and keep your mind alert. By not resting enough, you may end up hurting your own success.

Exercise regularly:

Did you know that by exercising daily, you can boost your memory? So, if you don’t exercise, get up and get going. Besides keeping you fit, it will also improve your attention, increase your capacity to learn and store new information. Just 15-20 minutes of daily exercise can bring a huge difference in your mental as well as physical well-being.
