All About the CSEET Exam

Anybody who wishes to be a Company Secretary has to take the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET). As is known, it is the qualifying exam for direct admission to the CS Executive Programme. And, if you are planning to take this exam in November this year, you must be thorough with the entire process, from the registration to the release of the admit card to the process of results, and more. Here’s all you need to know about the forthcoming exam.

What is the CSEET?

We are sure you know what this exam comprises, but nonetheless, let’s refresh our memory. The CSEET is the qualifying exam that is the direct entry for the CS Executive Programme. It is conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and is held four times a year – January, May, July, and November. Candidates are assessed on four papers:

  • Business Communication
  • Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning
  • Economic and Business Environment
  • Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills

It is a Computer Based Test wherein each paper consists of 50 marks and has a duration of 120 minutes. The Current Affairs, Presentation and Communication Skills paper has an extra 15 minutes allotted for the Viva-Voce. There is no negative marking.

When will it be held?CSEET exam date

The CSEET is scheduled to be held on 12 November 2022 this year, and the last date for registration is 15 October 2022.

Who is eligible to take the exam?

The eligibility is simple for this exam. Anybody who has passed their Class 12 exam, or any other equivalent is eligible to appear for the CSEET.

All Graduates and Post Graduate students, who were earlier eligible for the Executive Programme, will now have to take the CSEET.

Most importantly, the candidate must be at least 17 years of age on the date of application to register for CSEET.

How to get the Admit Card?

The ICSI released the Admit Card for the exam a few days in advance. You can download it from the official website of the ICSI by entering your credentials, which you get at the time of registration.

Remember, this is the most important document that you must carry with you at the time of the exam. If there is any discrepancy in the details mentioned on the card, do contact the relevant authorities, and get the errors fixed at the earliest.

Also, do not that the ICSI does not issue any physical copies of the admit card. Thus, make sure to download it and do the needful on time.

  • Refer to the study material released by the authorities

Finally, do remember that the registration process for November 2022 has already started, and you can register till 15 October 2022.
